It's said that 95% of all web sites lose money. I suspect it's even higher than that. I've been marketing on line for 7 years now and if a site isn't making money, I take it down.
As with everything we do at PMS, we have a system to follow to make sure your web site makes you money instead of costing you money. Our simple 4-part system is:

| Determine what you want your site to do. For any page where you want a visitor to take an action, pick only one action desired per page. For a profitable web site, build the site and each page with causing this action in mind.

| Set up your testing and tracking mechanisms. It makes no sense to be bringing in if you cannot measure what is working, know if you have a profitable web site, and know just how much money you're making.

| 3.
| Measure and improve your conversion rates. This should be an ongoing process forever—always test and improve the cost efficiency of your site. You should know your visitor value and your "cost per sale" or "cost per action" for everything you spend money on.

| 4.
| Bring traffic to your site. There's no point in paying to bring traffic until the first 3 steps are completed. We have many ways to bring you traffic aside from the traditional search engine optimization (SEO) techniques. You can have targeted traffic to your web site in a matter of hours, so we want to make sure you're ready.

Our role with our clients is to manage and oversee this entire process. We do not do any html or other technical tasks — we find and manage those who do and make sure the result follows our process to result in a profitable web site.
